50 Best Small Wedding Venues in Fargo ND
Getting married in the Fargo area and overwhelmed with all the large capacity venues options? Here’s a list of some great small venues for intimate weddings in Fargo, both indoor and outdoor, as well as a few tips for finding your perfect venue!
Some cost-saving venue tips:
1. If you have an intimate guest list of just family and close friends, consider having a weekday wedding! You’re almost sure to get a discounted rate (but keep in mind that Friday isn’t really considered ‘off-peak’ anymore) and those who really, really love you will probably take the day off.
2. Have a friend or family member with a gorgeous backyard or lake cabin? If your wedding is small, it might not be too big a favor to ask if you can hold your ceremony in their backyard.
3. Check out all the parks around Fargo; we have some gorgeous ones that will work well for a small ceremony, and you can rent out a cool room downtown for your reception. State parks are also a great idea if they allow weddings.
4. Don’t be afraid to look outside of Fargo. You may discover some cute places in smaller towns without the big price tag. You’d be surprised how you can transform a place just by renting nicer tables and chairs, and adding some rugs, greenery, and candles!
5. Inquire about a summer wedding at a winter ski resort, or a winter wedding at a place that’s mostly busy in the summer. Flexibility and compromise is the key to finding some discounts.
6. Think outside the box! Many of the suggestions on my list are not typical wedding venues and may not show up in search results. Ask around and keep your mind open.
